For students & families
Your child's future in tech starts here
GLoB gives Boston students a clear path from middle school to a high-paying tech career, with real industry certifications earned before graduation. Here's everything your family needs to know.
How the program works
GLoB is embedded inside Boston Public Schools, no extra commute, no tuition, no barriers.
Enroll at your school
GLoB runs inside participating BPS schools during the regular school day. Students in grades 6–12 can join a certification track, Networking, Cybersecurity, or AI & Data Science, at no cost.
Learn from certified instructors
GLoB instructors are trained and certified by Cisco, CompTIA, and Microsoft. Students get the same curriculum used by college programs and corporate training, adapted for middle and high school.
Earn real certifications
Students don't just learn, they test. By graduation, GLoB students hold industry-recognized credentials like Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, and Microsoft AI Fundamentals.
Launch a career or college path
Certifications open doors to internships, apprenticeships, college credit, and entry-level tech jobs paying $50,000–$80,000+, before or right after graduation.
Three tracks, one mission
Students choose the track that fits their interests. All three lead to real credentials and real careers.
Students learn how the internet works, from home routers to enterprise data centers. The Cisco NetAcad curriculum is used by colleges and companies worldwide.
Students learn to defend networks, identify threats, and respond to attacks. Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-growing fields in the country, with more open jobs than qualified workers.
Students learn to build, train, and deploy AI models using real tools from Microsoft Azure. This track prepares students for the fastest-growing segment of the tech economy.
